Topic: Improving the efficiency of Clinical trials with real world data (4:00pm – 5:00pm) Chris Penkett is currently a team leader in the NIHR BioResource and is responsible for the Genotyping data generated in-house. After gaining a PhD in Structural Biology, he has worked in Bioinformatics within a variety of Biology fields such as Gene Expression and NGS Sequencing. He has recently finished a study of 10,000 Whole Genome Sequences (WGS) from patients with a variety of Rare Diseases (RD). Our work included adding value to this data for analysts from each RD area to look for the genetic causes for individuals in the study.
