Intermediate & API at 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm Jorge Ramos is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical industry specializing in the synthesis of novel therapeutic and diagnostic agents from discovery, pre-clinical to commercial (cGMP) stage at Merck. With proven experience in the management, strategic planning, support, troubleshooting, development, scale up and execution of viable, robust and safe drug substance (API) processes from kilo lab to commercial scale in a cGMP environment either internally and to external CMO’s. Jorge Ramos has hands-on experience in the management, planning, execution, and reporting of the necessary laboratory experimentation work during the process development including proof-of-concept, optimization, troubleshooting, process characterization (CPP/KPP) and impurity (PGI) spike and purging studies. Jorge Ramos received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and his PhD in the same field at the University of Peurto Rico.
