Mike Gresser began his independent scientific career at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, where he advanced to the level of Professor of Chemistry, then was recruited by the Canadian subsidiary of Merck & Co. near Montreal where he established a department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. After 20 years in Canada he returned to the United States to become VP Research and head of Inflammation and Neuroscience Research at Amgen, Inc. He later served as CSO for The Myelin Repair Foundation in Saratoga, CA, and more recently as CSO for ImmunGene in Camarillo, CA. For the past ten years Mike has been helping discover and develop cancer immunotherapies while offering special seminars at UCLA, where he holds a part-time  faculty appointment.
