Emerging Biopharma at 9:00 am – 10:00 am Nick Vrolijk has over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Nick has prior consulting experience, having been a founding partner of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Compliance Associates and working on projects for more than 15 clients over a 3.5-year period, including the successful development of Increlex® on behalf of Tercica, Inc. He previously held management positions in manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance at Pharmacia Corp. and Sensus Drug Development Corp. in conjunction with the successful development and approval of Somavert®. He joined Celldex to lead the late-stage development and commercialization of rindopepimut. Nick began his career in the industry as a Regulatory Scientist at Cato Research, a contract research organization (CRO). Nick received a B.S. in Biology and Geology from the University of Rochester, an M.S. and Ph.D. in marine biochemistry from the University of Delaware, and performed post-doctoral work at the University of Maryland supported by an NSF molecular biology training grant and an NIH RO1 research grant.
