Luisa Freitas dos Santos, PhD, CEng, FIChemE is VP Clinical Supply Chain at GSK R&amp;D. In 
this role Luisa is responsible for the supply chain management of all R&amp;D small molecule and 
biopharm clinical studies from FTIH to Phase IV, and for the GMP manufacturing operations for 
small molecule primary and secondary pilot plants. Luisa is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the 
Institution of Chemical Engineers, GSK Senior Fellow and co-chair of the GSK Fellow Council. 
Luisa has extensive CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls) pharmaceutical 
development experience within GSK and considerable experience externally in technology 
development and transfer including being a co-founder of a spin out company based on her own 
PhD chemical engineering research at Imperial College London. Within GSK Luisa has had a 
variety of Portfolio delivery leadership roles across almost all areas of Product Development and 
Supply (PDS) including process chemistry, process engineering, continuous processing, particle 
sciences, modelling, analytical sciences, and clinical supply chain management. She has led 
multidisciplinary global teams across 8 R&amp;D sites in 5 countries responsible for CMC 
development from pre candidate selection to commercial manufacturing and has extensive 
regulatory and technology transfer experience. During her 22 years at GSK she has been 
involved in the late phase development of more than 50 new medicines. Luisa has published &gt; 
50 peer reviewed research papers, presented work at &gt;100 conferences and technical 
seminars, and received numerous internal and external awards.

Paul Terry was appointed Sales and Marketing Director – EMEA for <a href="https://pelibiothermal.com/">Peli BioThermal</a>, in 2013. With over 20 years experience of commercial sales; sales team management and long-term strategic planning, Paul has been a key addition to the Peli BioThermal business. Since Paul joined the organisation, Peli BioThermal have experienced significant sales growth throughout their comprehensive single / reusable parcel and bulk shipper products, which have been specially developed for the pharmaceutical and clinical trials market. Prior to joining Peli BioThermal, Paul had spent 10 years working within the paper and packaging industries including working for SCA Packaging as Sales and Marketing Director in Asia. Paul spent time focusing on the development of sales strategy where he successfully saw a sales increase year on year. Previous to this Paul held various positions as European Strategic Account Director, Strategic Account Controller and Business Development Manager for Coca-Cola and Mobil Oil. Paul worked for a number of years in both continental Europe and Asia and has extensive global account management skills and experience of complex supply chains.Paul lives in Banbury, Oxfordshire with his young family. Outside of work Paul enjoys outdoor sports whenever time permits and is keen amateur astronomer and cyclist.

Jonathan Rabinowitz

Professor Bar-Ilan University

Jonathan Rabinowitz is an Elie Wiesel Professor at Bar Ilan University and a visiting professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He is the Founder and Director of DupCheck, and his research focuses on improving safety and efficiency of clinical trials. Jonathan is the academic lead of the Advanced Data Analysis Techniques group at European Union Innovative Medicines Initiative funded NEMWEDS, one of the largest ever collaboration projects directed at finding safer and more efficient drug development methods. Jonathan did his Doctoral training in Statistics at Bar Ilan University and in Social Welfare at Yeshiva University, and serves on advisory groups at FDA and EMA. He is a member of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, and is on the Executive Committee of International Society for CNS Clinical Trials and Methodology, and serves as co-chair of the working group on consistency in measurement. He has over 170 scientific publications.
